A 41yr old male known case of type 2 diabetes mellitus doctor by profession presented with sudden onset of mild to moderate pain in the hip joint radiating to the knee of one-day duration without any history of trauma, fever or swelling anywhere.There was no history of weakness, numbness or tingling. There was no bowel or bladder involvement. The pain became very severe and he consulted an orthopedician.

Positive relevant findings on examination
The patient was conscious oriented, hemodynamically stable. Local spinal examination revealed no deformity, rash or local tenderness.The doctor did straight leg raising test and it was positive at 500 and suggested a differential of disc prolapse.
